If you read all the articles here in order, you would now probably have a resonable understanding of the basics of SEO and how to apply the principals to your website. You could use this information when you are creating a new website from scratch, but just as importantly, you could apply all the knowledge to an existing website as well.
Our Starting articles covered topics such as keywords, keyword research and domain names. We looked at the importance of spending time planning your site and what you wanted to acheive.
Then we progressed onto building our website. We stepped thru all the things to consider at the time you build your site and by taking a common sense approach we showed you how by considering your site visitors and the Search Engines, your website would most likely be useable and Search Engine Friendly. We tried to convey the fact that you should be building your site for visitors first, and Search Engines Second.
The Site Promotion Articles introduced you to some of the ways of promoting your website. There are certainly a lot of other ways that are not covered here. It was our intention to provide you with some ideas to get started and hopefully a few hints as well.
Where to from here? We will present a couple of case studies done on how this methodolgy was used and applied to building a site and how it progressed. By taking a bit of time to see how someone else has applied these principals and how it worked out, hopefully, your next web project will be a little easier.
If you have written up a case study about your latest web project and applied the learnings from this website, then we would love to hear from you. With your feedback, we will continue to provide more and more useful information to the new and not so new Webmaster.
